A pretty well-done study out of Australia recently determined that grip strength better predicted 4-year mortality than blood pressure. As a strength athlete and somebody who treats hypertension on a daily basis, I found this very interesting. Does this mean that we should throw out our lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide in favor of farmer's carries and Rolling Thunder work? The answer is a resounding "HELL NO!"
