T-BELL TURKEY TACO MEAT

Yield: 4 cups

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of ground turkey (macros counted for 93/7 turkey)

  • ½ lb mushrooms, thinly sliced

  • ½ small onion, diced

  • 1 bell pepper, diced

  • 1 small can of green chiles

  • 1 package of dry Taco Bell seasoning (available at basically all super markets)

 

Directions:

  1. Heat a large skillet coated in cooking spray over medium heat and sauté onions and bell peppers until they are tender and caramelized (around 5 minutes). Add the mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are brown on both sides.

  2. Add Ground Turkey to the onion mixture

  3. Add the can of green chiles, including the juices and stir

  4. Add the dry taco seasoning and the stir until the seasoning is evenly coated in the mixture

  5. Cook on low for 10 minutes

  6. Remove from heat and serve once it’s cool

  7. Make into low-fat tacos or burritos now with ACTUAL meat
